According to the results, the most common cause of corneal trauma is domestic accidents, with men being three times more affected than women. Furthermore, children and adolescents under the age of 20 are more prone to corneal trauma. In terms of the affected eye, the right eye is more commonly affected than the left eye, and iris prolapse is the most frequent associated complication with corneal trauma.
