Objective: The
objective of this research is to study the relationship between mental health
and educational achievement among students of Ustad Rabbani University.
Research Methodology: This paper is based on Cross-Sectional Descriptive study
and the statistics are based on the evaluations gathered from students of Ustad
Rabbani University. In addition, the probability sampling method used in this
paper is Simple Random Sampling with 400 samples. Moreover, research tools for
this study are Goldberg 28-Item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ28) and
students’ educational achievement records. Results: The output derived from
this research depicts that there is no significant difference between mental
health and educational achievements among students of Ustad Rabbani University.
Despite noticeable differences in subscales of mental health like body
language, anxiety and depression among students of different gender, no
significant difference was noticed with other socially dysfunctional disorders. Discussion: Based on the results of this study, it is recommended
to open psychotherapy and consultancy service centers in universities to help
students suffering from mental health problems. Considering most of the
students in this survey were single and staying in hostels with having fewer
responsibilities and little life struggles, they were more focused on their
studies.
